The global leadership of Intertrust includes members of the Executive Committee and Managing Directors of our largest offices. Together they form Intertrust's Management Board.

Executive Committee

David de BuckDavid de Buck, CEO, has 24 years of international experience in the financial services industry, having lived and worked in Paris, Hong Kong, London, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. David has held various global leadership functions in the banking industry, including global responsibilities for commodity finance and trading, project & acquisition finance for the energy & utilities industry and telecoms, media & technology industry. He was a Director of the European Carbon Fund, a Member of the Supervisory Board of Fortis Groenbank, and under his leadership Fortis gained a global leading position as (project) financier and (tax) investor in renewable energy. Before his appointment as CEO of Fortis Intertrust (March 2009), David was CEO of Fortis Lease Group. David holds a BBA from the University of Nyenrode, Breukelen, the Netherlands.

Ernesto TraulsenErnesto Traulsen, CFO, has more than 25 years of international finance and operations experience. He joined Intertrust in 2007 and is responsible for financial operations and between 2010 and June 2012 for information technology. Between 2003 and 2006, he was CFO, Group Operations Director and Board member of SICPA, a Swiss privately held company manufacturing security and packaging inks. He also has an extensive international career with Eli Lilly (1989-2003) covering positions in finance, business development and customer service. His last 2 positions were Area Finance Director for Central Eastern Europe, Africa, Middle East and CFO Mexico. Prior to his MBA, he worked as a systems analyst with Procter & Gamble. Ernesto holds an MBA from McGill University and a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Nancy LewisNancy Lewis is COO of Intertrust Group since the acquisition of Walkers Management Services ("WMS") in 2012. She joined WMS in 2003 as Head of Operations for Walkers WPV, was promoted to COO of WSPV in 2005 and was appointed to CEO of WMS in 2006, becoming responsible for the group’s global operations. During her tenure at WMS, Nancy has developed and led a global restructuring of the management services business, which integrated multiple acquisitions with a focus on cultural sensitivity as well as operational methodology. WMS has grown from a small trust company to an expanding global presence with a diversified service offering. Prior to joining WMS, Nancy was the Director of Operations, Western Canada for Olsten Health Services (now Gentiva Health Services). Nancy holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Queens University in Ontario, Canada. 

HP van AsseltHenk Pieter van Asselt is the CCO of Intertrust Group since 2012. He started his career as an international management trainee within Investment Banking at ABN AMRO Bank after his graduation. He joined ABN AMRO Trust in 1997, where he held legal, commercial and management positions in the Netherlands, Curaçao and New York. In 2003, Henk Pieter joined Intertrust in New York and expanded operations in North America, before moving to London to re-start the UK and Ireland offices. In 2008, Henk Pieter was appointed Global Head of Business Development and in 2009 he became Member of the Management Board as Global Head of Sales. Henk Pieter holds a Master’s degree in civil law from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Angelica ThijssenAngelica Thijssen is responsible for Group Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility. Angelica has worked in the financial services industry for 22 years. She has held commercial and business development positions in international banking for 10 years, including global export & project finance and trade & commodity finance. For the past 12 years she has held several senior management positions in human resources, from general HR management to global talent management. Angelica is active in various formal networks in the fields of leadership development, HR and CSR. She acts as a moderator of leadership dialogues at the European Leadership Platform. Angelica holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Maastricht and an Msc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
